Lieutt James McKnight Sir, The President of the United States by and with the advice and Consent of the Senate, having appointed you a Lieutenant of Marines, in the ship of War-- Delaware, you will be pleased to commence the recruiting the complement of Marines allowed to said ship to wit. one Sergeant - one Corporal, one Drum-- one Fife and twenty one Privates
