Accountants Office March 4 1801 I Certify that there is due to John Brown & James Scott Privates in Capt. Eddins's Co 2nd Regt. [undecipherable] the sum of Forty dollars being for their pay from 1 January to 30 April 1800 the same having been placed in the hands of Capt Theodore Meminger take Pay Master to said Regt. & returned in his accounts as absentee, which sum is payable to St. Chr.[undecipherable] Pay master 2nd Regt. [undecipherable] by order of said Brown Scott
