                                                                                I certify that there is due to Francis La Costa. the sum of eight hundred and thirty eight dollars and thirty seven cents. being the amount of his account of salary and expenses in travelling to and from < Furnace, for the purpose of Inspecting cannons for the United States agreeably to directions from the Secretary of War.

                                                                     I Certify that there is due to the Estate of Stephen < late a sargant in Captn William Teats Co of < deceased the sum of twenty eight dollars and thirteen cents being for Balanced of pay due to him from the 9 April to the 4th November 1798 the day he was killed which amount is payable  to Aaron Van Cleve by virtue of a letter of attorney from Penelope Kerr Heir to the effects  of said Stephen Kerr.
