                                                                     I Certify that there is due to the Estate of Stephen < late a sargant in Captn William Teats Co of < deceased the sum of twenty eight dollars and thirteen cents being for Balanced of pay due to him from the 9 April to the 4th November 1798 the day he was killed which amount is payable  to Aaron Van Cleve by virtue of a letter of attorney from Penelope Kerr Heir to the effects  of said Stephen Kerr.
