I think he cannot therefore claim under, because
he was not arranged by it- that resolution
appearing to signify, that the [undecipherable] [undecipherable]
that he ought to be arranged- which not being
the samedone- he can claim no benefits from
it if he was deranged in 1779 and never after
reappointed to his Office, it appears impossible to
derange him again in 1781-
Capt Patton has lodged a certificate from the
Secretary of War^stating that he retired on the 1t day of
"January 1781 under the resolutions of Congress of
"the 3d 21. of October 1780. and that he was [undecipherable]
"[undecipherable] to a Captain in^ the [undecipherable] Line on the 1.st of April 1778"
if Col Murray had produced a [undecipherable] certificate
I should as I have done with Capt. Patton
[undecipherable]^to him the commutation.
[undecipherable] [undecipherable] Blair's certificates [undecipherable] to, and which is in
the war office appears not to be my [undecipherable] [undecipherable]
as that office was^is posessed of the whole [undecipherable] [undecipherable]
relating to the Army and from it only I can
