               The Secretary of war requests [undecipherable] you will ^ please to look into the Subsistence accounts of North Carolina officers and let him know the reason why Capt John Ingalls has been omitted in the Settlement - the enclosed letter shows the state of his case, which it is requested may be sent back with your answer-
