West=Point Oct 13th 1800-- Sir:

    As I intend leaving this place this fall -- and the season presses -- must beg you to give me an immediate answer to the following queries -- will the publick give me a reasonable price for a Horse=Mill which I erected for grinding and polishing bayonets Gun furniture etc. -- also the window glass in the shop 2 pair of Smiths ballows 2 good anvils and 12 large Vices and a great number of small tools. 
   You will please to inform me if my account is to be forwarded to you or the Accountant an immediate answer will oblige your Hum-le Servt
