The accountant being absent it is my duty to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated the 5 June with the accounts therein mentioned, & this duly would have been earlier performed had not the removal of the office from Philadelphia prevented it. The earliest measures will be taken for the examination of all acco'ts [accounts] which could not before now be attended to.
