I Certify that there is due to Genl Henry Lee the Sum of Fifteen thousand two hundred 7 sixty nine Dollars & 68/100, being the balance of his account arrising from the purchase money due him for the Iron Ore contained in a certain Tract of Land in the County of Berkley & State of Virginia, for the use of The U.S. agreeably to articles of agreement entered into by the said Genl. Lee with the Secretarys of War & Navy Department under the authority of the President of The United States, in behalf of the United States and the deed of Conveyance dated the 8 Instant --
