Sir I have received your favor of the 29th in 31st Ulto are enclosing draft for 74. 57 / 100 and applied to your Credit - With respect to public Clothing and Stores mentioned in my last. I have to repeat it, as being necessary I be furnish with those articles and subjoin a list of them the Genl has enjoining it on me to request your attention to this business, to deliver him at his Order- I would observe to you when Captain Henry Hockrans Company ordered to march from Fort Jay to Pennsylvania to quell the riot there, I had not a musket Cartridge to deliver them. I was under the necessity of barrowing from this State three thousand for their use - this will show to you in some degree the Propriety of my request I am Sir you're most humble Ebn Stevens
