Enclosed is a receipt of John Habersham, dated July 1, 1798, for $17.12 applied by him to defray the incidental and contingent expenses of the War Department in Georgia. This sum he has discounted out of monies arising out of imposts and duties for which he is accountable in pursuance of a warrant to be issued in his favor by the Secretary of War.
