Know all men by these presents that Mr John Patterson Shipwright, James Seagrove merchant both of the Town of Saint Marys, and William Hunter of Savannah merchant, are held and firmly bound unto the United States in the full and just sum of Three Thousand Dollars for which payment will and truly to be made, we being ourselves our heirs executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals, and dated the Fourteenth day of July one Thousand Seven hundred and ninety Eight.--
The Conditions of this obligation is such, that if the said John Patterson shall well and truly perform and execute all and singular the covenants and agreements entered into betwixt him and Ebenezer Jackson agent for building two Galleys in Georgia, in an agreement, bearing even date herewith, then this obligation shall be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virue.--
