Sir Mr Burrall the Commissioner of accounts has had so much business on hand as to be unable to settle your account until now this time. [illegible] enclose this certificate No 474 dated this day, for 450 dollars with interest at six per cent.

I request that you would send the two receipts for this certificate expressing the number, date, and value, as this is all I request [illegible] for my trouble I expect that you will illegible punctually comply with my request without [illegible] [illegible] as I have receipted for it to Mr. Burrall.
