Houdin at Albany, being for his pay from 1st of April to 30th of September 1794 inclusive - Major Fairly[?] will present you his [?] for this sum if he has not left New York, but if so be pleased to remit the same as speedy as possible.

Sir, I have remitted to Nicholas Fish Esq. your salary from 1st April to 30th September 1794 inclusive amounting to the one hundred and twenty dollars which I expect will be paid to your order in favor of Major Fairly or be remitted to you - I find by your statement of an amount of contingent expenses for which you received four hundred dollars in advance that these remain in your hands a balance of upward of two hundred dollars as I presume this business is at an end, you will send on the voucher under cover of the sentry[?] of man[?]
