134 is directed to remit to Edward Carrington Esqr. supervisor of the State of Virginia to be transmitted to you the sum of dollars 183.65/100 for expres him etc respecting the embargo and also the further sum of five hundred dollars for an advance made by the State to the Contractor for supplying the Volunteer Militia of Monongalia for the present year, for which you will please sign duplicate receipts.
