I have made a statement as below with a view of seeing the difference of one dollar a day for the whole time charged and that of the allowance now contemplated. Pay and Forage as Major Establishment of the 30th April 1790. From 30th July 1791 to March 1st 92 is 7 Months one fourth of which it is supposed he was in service makes 1 3/4 months at 50 dollars a mo._____87.50 Establishment of the 5th of March 92. From 7th March 92 to the 7th Feby 1794 is 23 Mos. one fourth of which is 5 3/4 Mos. at 50 dollars 325. Dollars 432.50 This mode of settlement will allow him four hundred and thirty two dollars and 50 Cents, which is less by ninety five dollars and 50 Cts. from the allowance of one dollar a day for the number of days charged and is two dollars and 50 Cents more than would be allowed after deducting the 3 Months 6 days as before mentioned. - The State of Pennsylvania allows the County lieutenants twelve and sixpence a day for two thirds of the Year and the expenses attending
