Seagrove writes to inform the Governor of Georgia that he intends to meet with the Creek leadership on 10 September 1793, having received orders to do so from the President of the United States General George Washington. Makes reference to the death of David Cornell and its effect of postponing earlier plans for a visit with the Creeks. Asks that Telfair keep information confidential so as to keep his plans from being disrupted by those seeking to stir trouble. Reports that the Indians taken into custody have either been released or escaped.
