I inclose duplicate of my letter of the 11th Inst. Doctor Carmichael with his charge in an stay and four horses has set off this morning having been detained by the weather. He is prepared to take horse in case of the failure of the snow. I also inclose a Continuation of the ans'ing of warrants issued & a Continuation of the charges against sundry officers. -- I have examined the Rolls of Cap'n Adair's militia discharged by you but their entry in my books is suspended for want of the warrant of the Commanding officer drawn on you for the money agreeably to the instructions of the Comptroller of the Treasury an entract of which I inclose. Col. Mentzer in a settlement with me has credited you three hundred dollars & Cap' Prior one hundred--
