Second That it appears the late Samuel Wise deceased was Major of the 3rd South Carolina Regiment of Infantry on [?] establishment and that he was killed while in the public services at the time of Savannah on the 9th day of October 1779 That no compensation has been [?} for the seven years half pay That the petition states that Jone Ann 13 all the wife of the [?] Joseph Ball is the only child of the deceased Major Samual Wise and [?] the [?] ten of [?] battalion which is produced it would appear that she was probably about
