Department of War. Accountant's Office July 11, 1795. I certify that there is due to Lieut. David Hale and the Recruits under his command at Portland the sum of one and two dollars and eighty three cents being for his and their Pay for the months of May and June 1795 which Sum is to be transmitted to Nathanl Gorham Esqr. Supervisor Massachusetts and for which Sum said David Hale is accountable.
