Sir Your letter of the 5th Inst. I have received and have to inform you that the claim of the late Major Hyrne in Pay as Afsistant General will be settled by me on your forwarding to this Office the Certificate of the Date of his appointment [strikethrough] for what time he acted as such together with your ?
