Watertown 20th Sept 1798

Sir 
The Governor informs me the convicts shall be removed feom Castle Island, and that fortrys ready for the acception of the United States Troops, the second day of October next. I then shall agreeable to your orders transmit you a return. It has been suggested to me, that they Military stores, ordnance & will be charged to the United States, I wish for your information, whether I shall accure the whole, or such a part only as informed necessary for the difence of the Garrison.
