War Department 29th Decem 1800 Sir Mr. Brown has presented to me a Table of 5 pieces of Ordnance proved & receipted for by Captains Stoddart and Barron of your Regiment, on the 10th instant. I will thank you to inform me whether you directed those Gentlemen to prove the above mentioned Guns. They were made under the contract with Mressrs R & S Hopkins on Furnace Hope Company account

Sir I have considered your Letter of the 25th November Lieutenant Rand may be permitted to resign if Colonel Hamtramck should not think the Offence so aggravated as to require punishment. you will be pleased to take order accordingly.
