Notes for Account for Majors Buell and Greenleaf, Cavalry Swords: Page #2 Original title: xka/XKA22002.jpg Cancel Reset Transcription Department of War Accountant Office April, 28 1800 Sir Mr's Buel and Greenleaf have this day been paid for one thousand cavalry swords with their scabbards and belts manufactured by themselves at Hartford Connecticut in Feb. 7, 1799 where they were inspected same time by W Robt Orr who inspected them equal to the contract in the sum of $7.67 each has therefore been paid in the amount of .................7670 and for 10 Iron bound chests for packing them..............$13.40 Ammounting together to............$7683.40 As they have been all received in good order in May 1799 by Wm Harris Military Storekeeper in Philadelphia (except seven which he reports are insufficient) you will please hold the proper persons accountable on the books of the Superintendent of Military Stores.
