General orders-- Lieutenant Wm Potter of the 11th Regt of Infr having been appointed provisionally Assistant to the Deputy Qr Master General of the district under the immediate Command of Major Genl Hamilton he is to be obeyed and respected accordingly. Abraham R. Ellery Asst Adjt General--
Head Quarters Plainfield May 27th 1800--
Such of the Assistants by whatever denomination of the Inspector Genl, Adjt Genl, Quarter Master Genl, and Pay Master Genl, who by law had no allowance for forage in any capacity are considered as entitled to forage for two hours when they actually have three.--Supplies within the limits heretofore made are approved but no money shall be given in lieu of forage which shall not have been furnished--
