Yours of the 4 ultimo came duly to hand. The letter for Mr. Hawkins has not come to hand. I very much want the List of Articles necessary for the approaching summer's supply to enable me to forward what may be suitable to you; also, to guide me in directions to the Agent in London./ Mr. William Murdock for sending from there the most proper Articles for the Indian Trade, in return for the ? shipped, and to be shipped to his address. Immediately on the reception of this Letter, I will thank you to send forward to me a minute statement of the property belonging to the Factory under your charge as may appear on minute investigation, also your ideas respecting the debts due the Factory which were contracted by your predecessor and particular by the transactions with Mr. Seagrave, the manner in which his debt was contracted and whether the firm said to be owing by Seagrave is real or other
