Memorandum

It is hereby further agreed by and between the parties to the within Contract as follows, viz.

That the said James O'Hara, his executors or administrators, shall and will supply and issue all ratoins that shall be required of him or them, to consist of the articles specified in, and during the term of the said Contract for the use of the troops of the United States; at any place or places on either side of the River Ohio, from Cincinnati to Massac, the ports of Cincinnati and Massac exclusive, at twelve cents for each ration, and that the prices of the component parts of the said ratoin, at twelve cents, shall be as follows, viz.

Bread, or flour, four cents, Meat, five cents, Liquor, two cents, Small parts, one cent.

That at each and every place mentioned in the aforesaid contract and this agreement, where the whole of the small parts of the raion shall be estimated at one cent, the value of the different articles composing the small parts, shall be as follows.

Four pounds of soap, at thirteen cents per pound. 52 [cents] Two quarts of salt, at eleven cents per quart. 22 [cents] One pound and an half of candles, at sixteen cents per pound. 24 [cents] Two quarts of vinegar, at one cent per quart. 2 [cents] 1.00

That at each and every place where the whole of the small parts of the ration shall be estimated at One Cent and three tenths of a Cent, the value of the different articles composing the small parts shall be as follows.

Four pounds of soap, at fourteen cents per pound. 56 Two quarts of sat, at twenty one cents per quart. 42 One pound and an half of candles, at twenty cents per pound 30 Two quarts of vinegar at one cent per quart. 2 1.30

That at each and every place where the whole of the small parts of the ration shall be estimated at seven tenths of a cent, the value of the different articles composing the small parts shall be as follows.

Four pounds of soap at nine cents and an half per pound 38 Two quarts of salt at six cents per quart. 12 One pound and an half of candles, at twelve cents per pound 18

IN WITNESS whereof the Secretary of War on behalf of the United States hath hereunto subscribed his name, and affixed the Seal of the War Office of the United States, and the said James O'Hara hath hereunto set his Hand and Seal the nineteenth day of November, in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and ninety-nine.
