Sir On the 4 Ult. I wrote you respecting some apparently extravagant & unauthorized charges for articles furnished yourself & herewith by James Little Contractor & requesting you to forward the original returns upon which those issues were made that I may be enabled to judge how far you was authorize din making your requisitions upon the Contractor. To which I have not yet received your answer - I expected from the desire I expressed of having those returns transmitted as soon as possible that you would have prevented the necessity of a second letter upon this occasion by an immediate reply - but as you have neglected, I therefore again repeat to you to loose no time in transmitting to this Office all the returns for Quarter Master & Hospital Stores, with such other explanation as the nature of the returns may required -
