Dear Sir
Mr Owner sett off yesterday for Pittsburgh, finding your folks in the humor for reading, I availed myself of so good an opportunity for sending you three volumes of the Gleaner a work by Mrs Murray the sister of Governor Sargent, it is on many pleasing subjects, and has merit - price three and a half Dollars. I have also sent you a celebrated novel called the Monk, it is deep and dreadful - price two dollars. I wish you to forward the enclosed letter - all the arrangements are yet locked up
