Dear Sir

Mr Oavriar set off yesterday for Pittsburgh finding your folks in the humor for reading I availed myself of so good an Opportunity for sending you three volumes of the Gleaner, a work by Mrs Murray the sister of Governor Sargent, it is on many pleasing subjects, and has merit price three and a half dollar. I have also sent you a celebrated novel called the Monk, it is deep and dreadful price two dollars. I wish you to forward the enclosed letter - all the arrangements are yet locked up. yours very sincerely
