As ssoon as convenient after the receipt of this letter be pleased
to send two of the Enlglish eith inch Howitzers, withe everything belong- in to them to. New York to the address of COlonel Stevens-I presume they are compleatly amounted, and furnished with implements- but if that is not the case send what you have, and the deficiency must be made up in York. I have again called the attentino of the Ac- countant to the adjustment of your account and he is engaged in it- You will please to enclose me an order on him for whatever balance may be found, due to you, this I shall receive and pass to your Credit in my Books, after which I will send you a statement of the whole business-- I am Sir, Your Most Obedient Servant.
