Sir
I received your letter of the 2nd instants enclosing duplicate receipts for bounty paid your recruits which are filed to be admitted to your credit on settlement of your Recruiting account at this office.
The two hundred dollars sent for the recruiting service you would receive of Edward Carrington Esq. Supervisor, Virginia pursuant to my letter to you under date the 7th Inst. with respect to the made of receiving your pay to +c., you will please make out your account monthly, charging your rations at the contract price at the post at which you may be stationed, and the amount will be transmitted to Edward Carrington Esq. Supervisor with directions to pay to you on your signing the necessary receipts.
