-                       I received your letter of the 5<sup>th</sup> Inst. enclosing your account for salary as  superintendant of the navy yard at Portsmouth from 1<sup>st</sup> April to 30<sup>st</sup>  June 1 797 inclusive amounting to One hundred dollars which sum you will receive as usual from Joshua Wentworth Esq. Supervisor at Portsmouth, on giving him duplicate receipts for the same.
