mature consideraiton has therefore thought proper to give the governor of the western territory and command= ing officer conditional orders to extirpate the said banditti provided the same could be ffected, without interfering with the gernal objuexts of peace with the regular tribes lying pon the Wabash and its vicivinity.

    It is proposed that the expedition should

be performed udner the immediate orders of general Har= mar, with about one hudnred continental torops and

three hudnred militia of the neigbouring coutnies of Kentucky who should be engaged for thirty days from the time of their arrival at the place of redezvous-- It is further proposed, taht botht ehregular troooops & the militia should be mounted onhorseback, if the nature of the country should permit that mode of ope= ration.
