New York August 26 1786 Sir Your letter of the [] of July being received, I have attended to its enclosures, your account of expenses I do not know what to you concerning, my instructions are of such a nature that I cannot take them up, and I do not know the office that has a proper authority to do it__the certificate by Saml Townsend as [AC] was properly before Mr. Milligan, then by Mr. Fish for Townsend as [] agent comes properly before Mr. Curtensis the state auditor.
