Dear Sir
Your letter of the 27th ulto. and that of Mr Lambart of the 20th are arrived--Mr Miffler [?] will not [word crossed out] go on as expected, and that instead some person [crossed out word] shall be employed [?] for [crossed out word with illegible word above it] your [?] [illegible] of [illegible] papers, provided you find no safe opportunity without the expence. I cannot send on the certificates [crossed out word] for [illegible] due, to the Line without the legal authority given to some person here to receipt for the same.
Your need [illegible] of issues [?] are almost entered in our
Books, and appear to be very correct & proper.
[5 words illegible] happy to see you &c. Mr Dunscomb
knew, but I believe it will be least that [?] you [crossed out word] stay in Virginia, for [crossed out word] your difficulties may be better stated by Letter, than that the public business should be [illegible] by your Journey.
Mr Dunscomb. XZO05
