Philad.a 24th March 1784

Sir

The bearer Mr Ingles is settling his accounts with the public, to do this acceptably the stores must also be accounted for___ On reference to my books for receivals he finds a number of Barrels of Powder which he has not credited this it seems happened by his being in the City at the time the powder was sent to him at Lancaster, he now comes on to rectify the mistake, as there must have been an omission of these when Mr Hall receipted to him, and probably when you received them of Hall, I wish you by counting what is now on hand & Adding any deliveries, would ascertain whether what you received was right and in any other way assist Mr Ingles to find out and rectify his mistake___
