Sir

I have received your favour, involving the settlement made with Colonel Pettit___To enable me to close my Books I wish to receive a Certificate from you that the sum I advanced in accounted for in that Settlement__ Eighty Dollars being the amount charge=able to him for a Hessian delivered, is I observe omitted, this must be included in the Certificate you send me, as I have his receipt__ One thing more should be observed__ In all Settlements made by me with Iron Masters, I take an obligation for the Delivery of the Articles charged, as the Stores still remain in their Hands, I hope this has been attended to. _________________________________
