Inclosed is an estimate for Forage & Wood due Several Officers as therein expressed__ In August last I laid before youan acct. received from Col^o Taber Hatch late D[undecipherable]m at Boston ammounting to 291 47/90 Dollars which Sum by particular direction of Gen. Lincoln he had paid for wood furnish'd the Guard at that place, as both the Gen. & Col. Hatch have written to me requesting payment. I should esteem it a favor if you would recollect the circumstance and enable me to comply with their wishes __ The estimate for Virginia is also before you, if it were possible to take it up only partially, so as to enable me to dispatch Captⁿ Irish who is waiting, it would be a [undecipherable] advantage, as many are anxiously expecting his return, and the situation of the stores under his charge makes his presence absolutely necessary ___
