Philadelphia March [undecipherable] 1784

Sir

In a former Letter I acknowledged the receipt of yours relative to the money wanted; I now have an opportunity of sending it by my friend M.^r Walker, as you will see by the inclosed Duplicate__ This is the first conveyance that has offered, and with pleasure I embraced it. I hope it will come safely [word struck through, undecipherable] and speedily to hand __any other commands either of a public or private nature shall be as readily attended to __ Colonel Pickering goes for Camp this week for the last time, he proposes re=turning in five or six weeks____
