to Lt. Wright
29 April 1797
The Secretary of war having wrote to me
upon the appointment of a paymaster (Pro Sam) and recommended
my considering you as a person that had been recommended
to him. I have in compliance with his instructions proper
proper to give you the appointment, till his arrangements
are made respecting the army in this Case, or till
further orders. You will please therefore to attend
to the following instructions from the War Office.
Here follows the instructions, frin the Sim[?] - do
require pay Abstracts - to to the armored from B
Note
The forms are mentioned, but it is known that
Lieut Wright is acquainted with them, therefore time may
not be spent in drawing them of
The pay Rolls [undecipherable] to those commencing
the time which Lieut Wright Offer, is necessary to compare for the
sake of accuracy ___
