Sir,
As it is possible the Lieutenant of Marines, appointed to the Ship Constellation, may not arrive before he is ready to go to Sea, and as it is not expedient, that She should be detained a Day on that account, you will when Capt. Truxton shall require, repair on board, and consider Yourself under his [undecipherable] until relieved by the Lieutenant of Marines regularly appointed to The Ship.
