Cadert have issued for a detachment consisting of about ninety men, without artillery, and with provisions only, to carry them to Oswego; to proceed to Albany on their way to that post.
You will therefore be pleased to prepare the necessary means for their transportation.
I have in consequence of your letter of the 2 instant directed two thousand dollars to be remitted you for which you are to be accountable.
