An account of In Jefferson County.
the depredations On Floyd's fork, two men killed
committed in the near the same time & place, two
District of Kentucky persons were killed and three
by the savages, since taken prisoners. On Brashears
the 1st of May 1789. creek, two killed and two taken.
On the 17th July, Chinoweth's Station
was attacked by a number of Indians who entered
Chinoweth's house while the family was at supper
Three of Chinoweth's family were killed and seven
wounded. Three of the wounded are since dead and
several others yet dangerous. The Indians plunder
ed the house of every thing they could carry away.
There was at the same Station before this date one
man
man killed and one wounded -- The num
-ber of horses stolen from this county exceed twenty.

broke into the house of Edmund Stephenson
