Dear Friend,
I have just received your favour of the 27th ulto
In whatsoever sphere of life, you may hereafter move, I shall ever highly esteem a continuation of our correspondence, and shall be particularly happy, if in our future pursuits, a mutual beneficial interest may be established - I shall bear in mind your proposition and have great hope, something to our mutual advantage may be done. Pray inform me in your [undecipherable], what is the felling price of Pot and Pearl Ash, and what quanti-ty could be disposed of? I mention this article inparti-cular, as the manufactory of it has greatly encreased since the establishment of our Glass Works, beyond what is wanted for our works - I had expected during the Winter to have had leisure to have made you a visit but have been disappointed - I expect however in the course of removals from office to have an opportunity of seeing you shortly - I am sorry my old Friend. [undecipherable] is in the situation you mention, unable to enjoy the many good things, which providence has bestowed on him - he sometime ago informed me he should make me a Visit perhaps he is coming this way - The General and Quarter Master General are both at the seat of Government, but shortly expected to return - Captn Read has not received pay since last Novemr therefore unable to take up his note
