I have written already to [Hunewell and Graves] and requested them to march, without delay, their recruits to their winter destination; shall direct the Contractor [Ruggles] to agree for the necessary materials for the huts; it would be best to construct the huts in such a manner as that the soldiers of each company might be contained in two huts of 40 by 16 feet with a chimney in the center; a slight partition between the rooms will be sufficient; will require only twenty six huts for the non-commissioned officers and privates of a complete regiment;
