The Treasurer of the United States will remit you the sum of twenty seven dollars, being for the pay of Thomas Simmons, Sergeant Major in Collo Cressaps regiment Virginia militia while on the Western expedition from 24 Septr to 23d December 1794 inclusively; which sum you will please to pay him taking the necessary receipts.
