I have received your letter of the 20 Ulto. enclo= =sing your account on which you state a balance due you to The United States, of three hundred thirteen Dollars & 77/100, before an examination of the account can take place it will be necessary for you to forward to this Office vouchers in support thereof accompanied by your Oath, that the same was justly expended on account of the United States - that I may be enabled to judge of the propriety of admitting the same to the credit of your account, until which it will remain suspended_
