Sir
I have now to inform you that the vouchers recd from you for payments made to the militia of Georgia including your own compensation as Pay Master up to 30 June 1798, have been examined & after deducting the stoppages for rations furnished by the United States the sum of Fifty thousand ten Dollars & fifty nine Cents has been passed to your credit leaving a balance in your hands of Dolls 58221.85/100 with which you remain charged on the Books of this Office but which differs from your statement, 4 Cents arising from Fractions introduced by you, and not noticed in the settlemt, here. the sum deducted by you from the Spies in Camden County for rations supplied by the United States is Drs. 468.50, in place thereof, however, you have through mistake transcribed the sum of Drs. 490.- into your general statement.
