Philadelphia 6 June 1799
Sir,
For the better securing the Arms, Musick &c app[missing] taining to the Army, I think it will be proper to procure immediately a number of Bell Tents. The number I propose is one hundred and Seventy two, which I think will be sufficient to accomodate the whole Army, as they will probably be disposed. If you approve the measure you will be pleased to give the order for procuring them.

As Tent Poles are ordered to sundry places a further supply of them becomes necessary. 1500 sets for Common, 250 sets for Horseman's, and 16 Sets for Marquees should be purchase immediately
