Title

Possibility of Additional Funds for Fort McHenry

Description

Addresses Foncin's new plan for Fort McHenry, and the additional funds needed to execute it. McHenry regrets that Tousard's original plan was not sufficient, and agrees that Baltimore's importance as a commercial city dictates that it should have proper defenses. Reminds the committee that the original plan stated that the Baltimoreans would pay any needed funds after the initial $20,000 provide by the federal government. Asks them to forward their accounting for executing Mr. Foncin's plan, and tentatively suggests that the government may be able to pay an additional $10,000.
